Super Dream House W.I.P.

 

General:

  • Beach Acreage in a plane free zone

  • Huge house, 30ft ceilings, clever natural light

  • Everything on giant scale, no door or hallway to be narrower than 132cm. Oversized rooms. Est 14000m² floor space. But still certified “Passive” heat/cooling.

  • PowerPoints strategically placed everywhere.

  • Storage in EVERY room. Art nouveau style, or each wall to hold storage (recessed windows).

  • Natural products (no plastics or acrylics, including paints/finishes) Vermin & thief proof.

  • Green ventilation/top screened windows,

  • Modern. “Green”. subTropical Climate. Open plan

  • Indoor builtin planters throughout. Floor drain holes.

  • Single story but if needed; wide, shortrise steps.

  • Whole house ‘wet proofed’ for hosing out with hose, access everywhere and or floor grate areas. Maybe  cement polystyrene lightcast floor; waterproof.

  • Haybale outer walls for good insulation. Sandwalls?

  • Plant based foam insulation or Styrofoam Lego filled with cement -extraordinary savings on insulation.

  • Cork product. Insulating Concrete Forms?

  • Bay windows with Window seats for cats.

  • Automated block out blinds. High tech house.

  • Raised foundation / everything easy access.

  • Aquarium in dark hallway. Several Rammed Earth walls.

  • Plant Atrium with black/cream tiles, water proofed for overhead misting system for MaidenHair Ferns, visible from kitchen/living. Including cat play spaces.

  • Heavy insulating roof with no ceiling space?

  • My Triple walled ceiling skylights (for insulation).

  • Electroluminescence lighting – whole ceilings.

  • Security flyscreens on aircurrent windows, Art nouveau bars?, for leaving open in summer.

  • Private, quite,no neighbours. Securesurveillance.

  • Ballroom! Stringybark timber white wood floor.

  • Secret alcove balcony to allow safe roof access.

  • Polished shiny floor. Cut gem Window. Airtight.

  • Raw timber windows/doors. Smart ipad control.

  • Air to ground source heat exchange (2m deep).

  • If I need plasterpanels, they can be acrylic cell poured

  • Location matched (weather appropriate architecture).

  • Internal Walls - Mycelium insulation panels

  • Winter sun shining inside parts of house

  • Wheelchair access in the entire house (every house, unit)

  • Automatic windows and doors that shut depending on weather.

 

Entrance:

  • Cave like water grotto entrance Atrium/glasshouse?

  • Shoe/scarf/hat/ spot – alcove room with huge wood pillar to lean against whilst putting on/off boots and seat/shelves. Heavy big entrance door.

  • Mulberry Tree enclosed atrium for silkworms

 

Kitchen:

  • Massive ceiling with vertical skylights for pm sun–then big windows for am sun, self cleaning ones!

  • Kitchen window planter boxes with sliding flyscreens, self-watering/ non-aluminium.Vegetable hydroponic tower?

  • Silent Fan in kitchen to take fumes outdoors/ proper rangehood/window splashback, no knobs

  • Narrow open galley kitchen. Walk in pantry.

  • Concealed garbage/compost. Slim lid drawer.

  • Floor to ceiling storage, long bench, drawers to peer in rather than cupboards, 17powersockets minimum.

  • Raw timber wide bench, high, one stainless steel mirror finish normal height. High deep sink?

  • Raw floor boards and skirting. More Maidenhairs

  • Dirty biscuit tray draw near oven. Vermin proof.

  • Fully optional integrated fire – optional heating hot water/ cooker/ towel pipes – heater pipes.

  • Split Induction cook top, gas wok spot, 2 ovens. Enough power to maintain 2 appliances working at same time!!!

  • Doors open to outdoor cooking area with normal BBQ and Wok BBQ, maybe Pizza Oven too

 

Seedling Room /laze in Sun room /clever conservatory

  • Permanent sunnying area, but block off in summer for heat conservation. Maidenhair Ferns

  • Waterproof floor/ Big timber / glass / windows

  • Double pink brick with black mortar!

 

Yoga/ Dance Room:

  • Huge. Inside/outside areas.

  • Thick plush Carpet & timber floor. Wall of mirrors.

  • Motorised electric roof section, opens and closes at whim

  • Fancy architraves everywhere,. Art Nouveau cornices

  • Exercise walker glider machine and Inversion table!

 

 

Bedroom:

  • Bedroom with morning sun and stained glass windows. Huge. window seat for cats.

  • Huge room and light switch at bed and door.

  • Soundproof retreat from bothersome neighbours.

  • Roll out bed to veranda in the sun or stargazing.

  • En suite. Big mirrors. Stargazing window too.

  • Padded velvet bedhead.

  • Walk-in Wardrobe, solar tunnels in ceiling where necessary

  • Maybe 2 spare bedrooms too. All with view of some sort, if only a garden quadrangle view.

 

Bathroom/laundry/Toilet:

  • Huge size, Linen closet in bathroom. LIGHT so no mould.

  • Light, possible perforated steel over window? Artycrafty.

  • That Ocean storm photo as theme with matching colour scheme. High deep sink.

  • Steam Shower, 2 saunas, spa. Big bathroom CCTV

  • Stone / slate, cave like?, wet room with hose.

  • Huge shower space, no curtain, double, circular

  • A light/lamp above shower, stool spot (or rock!).

  • Atrium tall narrow toilet with plants. Bidet Smart toilet.

  • Long fancy bathtub. Stargazing windows over.

  • Plumbed borewater or 5x70000L cement tanks.

  • Shoe spot in laundry back door.

  • Broom & vac closet (I have to spell this one out)

  • Hanger for dripping cloths over sink in shade.

 

Garage:

  • Triple. Extra wide doors and a space for car doors to be opened all at once.

  • Automatic windows. Perfect storage system.

  • Non facing the front (hidden) but roundabout drive through, near kitchen for unloading.

 

Work rooms

  • One for sewing. One for crafts and one for wood working; open for sanding.

  • Massive ceiling with vertical skylight lights for pm sun – then big windows for am sun.

  • Wall of windows. Any pillars, be mirror covered.

  • Massage room with permanent staff on call

 

 

Underground area

  • Cool room / meat room / Cellar / Preservatives / Mushrooms

  • Chill out area for cats. Slate flagstone or Brick floor / corridor to outside. Artistic / Creative

 

 

Outside/Garden:

  • Huge swim pond with jetty! And 25m Lap pool, ½ in ½ outdoors with plants. Glass awnings.

  • Copper coil pipe on roof for plumbed in hot water. Bore one too, decorative arrangement.

  • Slopey roof 42° no possumpee and WELL protected FAT gutters, concealed and roof garden? Invisible Solar tiles

  • 5 cement water tanks, underground, 1 poly for softshower

  • Wrought iron curl fence/gates/planters.

  • Atrium looking out to pool. Extensive stonework.

  • Huge, lockable, irrigated shade house/ potting shed. SICK of thieving idiots (perhaps a gun too).

  • Raised vegebeds, irrigated (130 proper sleepers)

  • Moat with chook yard in centre/foxproof bridge.

  • My ‘umbrella woman’ water feature statue.

  • Big tiled veranda all around. Some mosaics.

  • Open atrium folly in the garden

  • Anticlimb huge haybale fence or sugarcrete brick fence around whole perimeter.

I would like to formally complain about all the product placement cigarettes that go on in televisions and movies, disgraceful and unethical.

I am all in favour of strict labelling practices - food hygiene, the one area where you can be 'type A' /over controlling, authoritarian, Nazi, as much as you want. This includes Textile labels, and many other areas.

And apparently, Slim Dusty is to blame for all the alcohol abuse that went on in Australia, amongst men, in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. I love to have a beer with Duncan……
